The United Way of Tri-County was incorporated in 1997 through the merging of five United Way organizations: the United Way of Assabet Valley, United Way of Neponset Valley, the United Way of Metrowest, the Westborough United Way, and the Clinton Community United Way. The United Way of Tri-County is one of 1340 locally operated and controlled United Way organizations in America that collectively raised over 3.9 billion dollars in 2004. Today we provide service to thousands of our neighbors and friends in 34 communities throughout Norfolk, Middlesex, and Worcester Counties.

The United Way of Tri-County is a community building organization that assesses and addresses demonstrated community need. We derive most of our annual financial resources from employee campaigns conducted by supportive companies throughout the region. Additional funds are raised through individual and corporate giving.

Panels of volunteers who live and work in the region decide where the money is distributed based on community need.

Services are delivered primarily through trusted community partners.

Funds are only distributed to organizations and service providers that have a proven track record of success. In instances where no appropriate community partner can be contracted the United Way may choose to be the direct service provider to ensure that local needs are being met.

Thanks for supporting the organization that supports healthy families... The United Way of Tri-County!
