2012 Backpack Drive - Help kids go back to school ready to learn...
The United Way of Tri-County is running their annual back-to-school backpack program! United Way is committed to helping children and youth succeed and ensuring every young person is ready to learn.
The program is a combined effort between area businesses and employees to provide backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming school year.
Over the past 4 years the program has distributed over 1,400 backpacks to area kids in elementary, middle and high school.
It’s easy to get involved. You can either purchase school supplies/backpacks for the program; or, for $25 United Way supplies students with their own backpack filled with supplies.
You can also help by volunteering to sort and assemble backpacks. To find out more about this exciting program, please contact:
